Requires contractors to call JULIE <B>(1.800.892.0123)</B> not more than 14 <U>calendar days</U> before digging. </div> <bR> <div> 2. <B><U>After 2/29/04</U></B>, requires additional notice to <B>JULIE (outside Chicago, 1.800.892.0123) </B><B>or DIGGER (inside Chicago, 312.744.7000)</B> if excavation/demolition project extends beyond 28 days, after the first notice to JULIE or DIGGER.  Added notice will be good for 28 days, in which time the excavation or demolition has to be completed, Else, another 28-day notice is required.</div> <div>         </div> <div> 3. Contractors hitting a utility line must work with the utility in a "cooperative and expeditious manner" to repair the damage. </div> <bR> <div> 4. Contractors demolishing or digging within the City of Chicago, must call both DIGGER <U>and</U> the affected utility, if a line is hit.</div> <div>        </div> <div> 5. Sewer utilities outside Chicago do not have to locate their lines <U>unless:</U></div> <div> - the contractor tells JULIE that it will be digging more than 7 feet deep, OR </div> <div> - the contractor tells JULIE it will be directional-boring, OR</div> <div> - force mains are involved, OR</div> <div> - sewer lines with less than 7 feet of cover are involved</div> <div>         </div> <div>      <B>If the Contractor hits a sewer line outside of Chicago that did not have to be located, it cannot be held liable to the sewer owner for any damage, IF prompt notice of the hit is given to JULIE and the sewer owner.</B></div> <div>         </div> <div> 6.
